“The Vancouver Island Herb Gathering is a place where we come together to celebrate plants & people.
Nestled in a beautiful herb farm, in the heart of the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island, BC herbal teachers, students & plant lovers from across North America get together every 2 years.
We celebrate, we laugh, we learn & we meditate with plant medicine as our focus, & community as our backbone.
It is our belief that plant medicine is people’s medicine, so it is with this intention that ht space is prepared for a weekend of herbalist & plant medicine.
Each time we get together the awareness strengthens, the community build & the movement grows. “

Enchanted Flora: Exploring the Supernatural Plants & Folklore of Vancouver Island. - An Overview of the concept of supernatural plants & their significance in folklore, legend & mythology. Discussion of the cultural & historical context of supernatural plant lore on Vancouver Island, & an introductions to key supernatural plants found on Vancouver Island & their associated folklore.
2. Culinary Alchemy - Introduction to Superfoods & Culinary Herbs. We will define superfoods & culinary herbs, discuss their nutritional benefits, & healing properties. Explore the concept of using food as medicine for holistic wellness & beauty.
